Why Log In to Geary Central?

Pages will display with readable, clickable email addresses like this:

yourfriend@examplename.com

Instead of this:

<NOSPAM DELETE THIS yourfriend AT examplename DOT NOSPAM com>

A trail of recently visited pages will display at the top of each page.
Your user name will appear in the edit logs of the pages you edit.
You can be notified when pages of interest are changed by other users.
Dates and times will display using your local time zone instead of UTC.

Privacy Policy

The only information in the user registration form that identifies you is your email address, which is optional. You can register anonymously if you wish.

If you log in, with or without an email address, this site will place a cookie on your computer. This will be used to save your user preferences and optionally display a "trail" at the top of each page you view, showing recently visited pages.

If you enter your email address, it will not be shared with any other parties. Your email address will be used only to:

Send you notifications of changes to any pages you want to monitor.
Send you a link that lets you log in again if you don't have the ID number form your original registration form.

It's also possible, but unlikely, that I may use your email address to contact you about some urgent problem about the site or your listing or edits.

Any information you enter when editing a page on the site will be visible to all, as will the history of edits you've made.

If you enter your email address in a page using the disguised format shown above, registered users will see your actual email address as a clickable link. Unregistered users and spambots will see the disguised format. However, there is no guarantee that some clever spambot won't decipher the disguised email address. You can help prevent that by adding additional uppercase "noise" words in the email address.
