 | L. E. "Ted" Geary, a famed West Coast designer of sailboats and yachts, lived from 1885 to 1960. The R-boat Pirate features Ted's biography from WoodenBoat Magazine. In 1928, Ted designed the Geary 18 fleet of sailboats, ready to race for $200. Ted's yachts are featured in the book Classic Wooden Yachts of the Northwest.  |
